What are Items for Police Station

Police stations can choose from surplus items listed by other stations, ranging from furniture to essential equipment. What are Items for Charity

Surplus items no longer needed by police stations can be donated to registered charities, extending their usefulness to support community organizations. This initiative ensures resources like furniture and equipment are repurposed to benefit those in need, reducing waste and fostering goodwill. Donations are then managed responsively, prioritizing responsible asset redistribution for a positive social and environmental impact.

Disposal ensures compliance with regulations while minimizing environmental impact. FAQs

What types of items can I list for other police stations to claim?

Any surplus goods that are still secure and usable, including desks, chairs, filing cabinets, tech equipment, lockers, or storage units, can be listed. Just make sure the item is whole, clean, and has a good image to go with the description.

What happens to items if no other station claims them before the expiry date?

In the Sydney region, all items are automatically evaluated for donation to registered charities. This guarantees that your excess can continue to benefit the community. Outside the Sydney region, stations will need to manage the transfer to their local charities.

Can I extend the expiry date?

Yes. If it is not claimed by another police station prior to the items listing expiry date, it can be extended. GGS automatically contact you via email so you can let us know what you want to do with the items.

How are items disposed of if they can’t be reused or donated?

Secure, ecologically friendly procedures are used to handle items designated for disposal. This entails recycling whenever feasible and making sure that all disposals adhere to waste management and compliance standards.
